갤러리 전은 개관 이후 22년 동안 한국 현대미술의 미래를 이끌어 갈 신진작가를 발굴하고 성장시키는 일을 중요한 기준으로 삼아 왔다.

​단순히 첫 전시의 기회를 제공하는 데 그치지 않고, 작가가 자신의 조형 언어를 구축하며 지속적으로 성장할 수 있도록 함께 고민하고 지원하는 것이 갤러리 전<신진작가 프로젝트>의 지향점이다

​김재령작가는 첫 개인전을 개최한 이후 더욱 깊어진 회화 세계를 구축해 왔다. 인간 존재를 둘러싼 감각과 관계, 그리고 삶의 본질에 대한 질문은 더욱 단단한 조형 언어로 발전했고, 이전보다 깊어진 사유와 감각을 풀어낸다

신구상회화의 흐름을 바탕으로 표현주의적 회화 언어와 초현실적인 공간 구성을 결합한 김재령의 작품은 인간 존재의 불완전함을 단순한 비극으로 소비하지 않는다. 오히려 흔들리고 불완전하기에 더욱 아름다운 삶의 감각과, 서로를 향한 따뜻한 시선, 그리고 인간성의 회복 가능성을 담담하면서도 깊이 있게 보여준다.

​이번 리뷰전은 한 작가의 두 번째 개인전이라는 의미를 넘어 첫 개인전을 마친 작가의 시간 속에서 축적된 변화와 성장을 확인하는 자리이다.

앞으로 한국 현대미술을 이끌어 갈 작가의 다음 여정을 기대하는 전시가 될 것이다.

Since its opening 22 years ago, Gallery Jeon has prioritized the discovery and cultivation of emerging artists poised to lead the future of Korean contemporary art.
The gallery’s "Emerging Artist Project" aims to go beyond merely providing opportunities for debut exhibitions; it seeks to actively support artists as they develop their own artistic languages ​​and achieve sustained growth.
Since her first solo exhibition, artist Kim Jae-ryeong has deepened the scope of her painting practice. Her inquiries into the sensations and relationships surrounding human existence—as well as the essence of life—have evolved into a more robust artistic language, articulating a depth of thought and sensibility that has matured over time.

Rooted in the currents of New Figurative painting, Kim Jae-ryeong’s work combines an expressionistic visual language with surreal spatial compositions; notably, it refuses to reduce the inherent imperfection of human existence to mere tragedy. Instead, the work calmly yet profoundly captures the beauty found in a life that is—precisely because it is unsteady and imperfect—so poignant, while also conveying a warm regard for others and the potential for the restoration of humanity.
