Eve
작가 이브(EVE)는 식물의 성장 방식과 인간 내면의 감정, 기억을 조각으로 풀어내며 ‘나눔’과 ‘존재’의 본질을 탐구하는 예술가다. PETG와 PLA 같은 재료 위에 아크릴 채색을 입히고, 디아섹 기법과 우레탄 마감으로 마무리하여 유기적인 조형성을 구현한다. 그녀의 작업은 식물의 어린 잎과 성숙한 잎이 공존하는 구조에서 착안하며, 인간 또한 완성과 미완, 과거와 현재가 함께 존재하는 존재임을 은유한다.
대표 캐릭터 ‘순이’는 작가의 자전적 기억을 바탕으로 태어난 인물로, 받지 않아도 줄 수 있는 마음을 지닌 존재다. 이브는 자신의 경험과 감정을 조각이라는 언어로 감각화하며, 삶을 대하는 태도와 관계의 본질을 조형적으로 사유한다. ‘동산바치’라는 순우리말처럼, 그는 기억과 감정을 가꾸는 조용한 조각가다.
EVE is an artist who explores the essence of sharing, memory, and existence through sculpture inspired by the growth patterns of plants and the emotions of the human inner world. She works with materials such as PETG and PLA, applying acrylic paint to the surface and finishing her pieces with urethane coating and a Diasec process to create organic, refined forms. Her works draw inspiration from the coexistence of young and mature leaves, symbolizing the simultaneous presence of incompletion and completion, past and present, within the human condition.
Her signature character, “Sooni,” is based on autobiographical memory and represents the possibility of giving without receiving. Through sculpture as a visual language, EVE transforms personal experience into sensory expression, offering a contemplative view of life and relationships. Like the Korean word
